Swarovski Crystal Earrings
Whenever you see a Swarovski piece of jewelry you are immediately swept away by its shine and luxury, and you almost forget that Swarovski’s crystals are not diamonds. The fact that these are not diamonds is immediately reflected in the price you pay for Swarovski crystal earrings or any other piece of Swarovski jewelry.

The Swarovski Company is the most famous and best known producer of fine quality and luxury crystals, with a tradition and history spanning over more than one hundred years. The collections of jewelry and accessories made by this company only use the highest standards of quality and beauty, while the gems used in Swarovski crystal earrings and the other pieces of jewelry come in a great deal of colors and shapes, to suit every pleasure.

One major achievement for the company was the design and use of crystal with green coloring, called “Swarogreen”. This crystal is seen by specialists, buyers and jewelry aficionados as an adequately suited replacement for emeralds. Also, the swarogreen material, which is very strong and refracts light in a powerful manner, while being a good synthetic replacement for emerald, has lower costs, but not too low, bringing the price quality ratio to an acceptable level. Swarovski jewelry usually uses metal support consisting of steel plated with rhodium.

The accessory designs made by Swarovski became an ever present item in the high-class fashion world since designers all over the planet started accessorizing their designs of bags, shoes and attires using creations by Swarovski. The founder of the Swarovski phenomenon, Daniel Swarovski, came into this world in 1862 in the Czech Republic. He was the son of a glass factory owner who specialized in cutting glass. In this factory and in the footsteps of his father, Daniel Swarovski leaned the trade, as an apprentice, and developed sharp skills and dexterity in cutting glass.

At the age of 30, Daniel Swarovski invented and patented a cutting machine running on electricity, which enabled the creation of crystal glass. The Swarovski company was initially founded in 1895, with the help of Franz Weis and Armand Kosman. In the beginning, the company was called A. Kosmann, Daniel Swarovski & Co and the name was later changed to K.S. & Co in order to make it shorter.

Next step for the company was to set up a factory for the cutting of crystals in a location that offered enough power, which was required by the glass-cutting machine Daniel Swarovski had invented. The designated location was Watten, in Tyrol. Today, the pieces made by the craftsmen and women at Swarovski are marked with the company’s mark. Initially, Swarovski jewelry and items were marked with an edelweiss flower, but today the Swarovski insignia represents a swan, which was implemented in the year 1988. Soon, the logo applied to the Swarovski pieces will be replaced with the simple mention of the word “Swarovski” within a re-branding or image changing strategy applied by the famous company.
