People love jewelry , because they give you a glamorous look, and for women jewelry is the perfect gift they can get. Jewelry is practically the oldest form of body adornment and when it first appeared it was made out of bones, wood or shells. Nowadays jewelry is worn to express the social status, the wealthiness or importance. Materials that were included in creating jewelry back in the days were: bronze, coins, alloys of nearly every metal. Modern materials are : gold, white gold, platinum, silver, titanium etc. Another very used material is glass or crystal. There are many companies that have had a big success with selling crystal jewelry. The most known company is Sawrovki that includes luxury fine cut crystals. Diamonds are the most glamorous crystals, they are most expensive jewelry and there are also many dimamonds that are not for sell, their price being unknown due to their high value. There are items like the Queen`s jewelry or the British crown jewelry. Gemstones are also very requested for jewelry materials. There are many gemstones like : amber, amethyst, emerald, jade, jasper, quartz, ruby, sapphire, turquoise etc. People have special requests, some like a certain gemstone like ruby and they make a collection of custom jewelry entirely out of rubies. These are all quite expensive but they are cheaper than diamonds. Everyone would like to have precious stones or crystals in their wardrobe. These items can improve anyone`s image. A woman is far more beautiful wearing a fine necklace with a wonderful dress. Special events are usually the best occasions to wear something precious like a diamond necklace or earrings.</p> <p>There are also many jewelry for men. Men have started to follow today`s fashion and nowadays, men wear earrings made out of diamonds, or precious stones, watches that have crystals applied, necklaces or even rings with great value. Other items for men are diamond cuff links or crystal pins. Jewelry exists since forever and there are different models of jewelry representing every country in the world. 300 years ago , this difference was very obvious but now everyone follows the same fashion. India, China and all of Asia especially, had a certain model of jewelry. There are also jewelry shaped in a certain way to express cultures and beliefs for example there is the jewish symbol The Star of David. Every culture has a symbol most commonly made out of jewelry. So, in the end, jewelry is present everywhere in the world since the world was formed. Jewelry, diamonds and pearls are founded in far away countries.
